Nathan Badgett

Aquatic Biologist/Scientific Diver

Mr. Badgett joined ESI in 2006.  He holds a BS in Environmental Biology and an MS in Biology from Eastern Illinois University.  His graduate research investigated water quality parameters and the relationship between reservoirs and rivers.  Mr. Badgett’s responsibilities include project management, report preparation, and collection of fish and unionids.  Prior to working at ESI, he worked in academia and for state agencies including the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and Missouri Department of Conservation (MDC).  While at MDC, Nathan served as Crew Leader and for the state’s Resource and Assessment and Monitoring Program.  Mr. Badgett is an ADCI certified member of our dive team, collecting mussels in the Illinois, Ohio, and Mississippi Rivers.  Mr. Badgett is certified in EFR First Aid/CPR – Rescue Breathing and Basic Life Saving, DAN Oxygen First Aid, and is a PADI certified rescue diver.
